University Rankings is an independent editorial platform covering youth basketball in the greater Houston area. It publishes staff-produced player rankings and evaluations, and hosts recruiting profiles for the players, families, and clubs in that community.
How rankings are made
Rankings and evaluations are produced by University Rankings staff on the basis of games, tournaments, and camps observed in person. They constitute opinion and commentary rather than statistical aggregation. Rankings and evaluations are produced solely at our editorial discretion and are not influenced by payment, membership, club affiliation, or community poll results.
Editorial rankings cover classes 2029 through 2032, while player profiles and the directory are open to classes 2027 through 2032, so older players carry a recruiting profile even when they are not editorially ranked.
For families
Parents and legal guardians of ranked players may claim their player's profile from the rankings page. Claiming requires creating an account, attesting to guardianship, and awaiting staff approval; once approved, the account holder controls the profile and can add a photo, film links, GPA, and social handles from the dashboard. For players not yet listed, a parent or guardian may register a new profile for the same staff review.
For clubs
Verified clubs receive a club page and team pages, whose rosters the club director manages.
For college coaches
University Rankings profiles are shareable player resumes. Each claimed profile includes highlight film, academics, and social links, alongside the player's school and club team affiliations. Coaches who wish to reach a player make contact through those channels. Family contact information is never displayed on the site.
